Work For The Kingdom

Something the Lord has kept present in my mind recently is this: I am doing things for Him and His kingdom — not for me. LOL!

I've been a bit overwhelmed trying to coordinate and organize my time and work. It has left me drained and anxious — anxious that I'm doing things wrong, that it's not enough, or that the idea is bad and I need to stop. That anxiety leaves my body drained mentally, emotionally, and physically.

So when I took a second to just listen and read His Word, coming across Colossians 3:23 was the reminder I needed:

This verse calls us to do everything wholeheartedly, as if working for the Lord Himself rather than for people. I am to work for Him — not for my own success or gratification, or the gratification of others — but to use my hands to steward what He has entrusted me with, and allow the outcomes to be on Him.

So even when you don't want to show up, show up for Jesus. Allow Him to fill you with the strength and energy to carry out your tasks.

Psalm 28:7 reminds us that the Lord is our strength and shield — when our hearts trust in Him, He helps us.

Whatever you're experiencing — keep going. 🤍
